See Zydrunas Savickas of Lithuania as he wins two events beating an international field of 10 champions to capture the 7th Annual Arnold Strongman Classic title. He was the sensational winner for the sixth year in a row. Overall there were 12 world records set throughout the competition. Savickas set three of them. In the Tire Deadlift he lifted 1,027 lbs. In the Circus Dumbbell he tied with Derek Poundstone for the world record with nine lifts each. In the Manhood Stones he lifted 525 lbs. three times. Savickas had won the Arnold Strongman Classic for the previous 5 years and started as the red hot favourite. He is generally considered to be the Strongest Man in the World, at 63 and over 400 pounds, the man is a giant of strength. Finishing second was Derek Poundstone of USA. This was a sensational effort beating USAs World Strongest Man winner Phil Pfister and many other highly credentialed Strongmen. West Virginia’s Phil Pfister won the prestigious “World’s Strongest Man” competition in 2006 to become the first American to win the title since Bill Kazmaier won in 1982. Pfister, a hulking 6-foot-6, 350-pound former firefighter from Charleston, West Virginia is always one of the most popular Strongmen at the Arnold Strongman Classic. It was an injury that caused Worlds Strongest Man winner Vasyl Virastyuk to finish in 10th position.

A great title for USA! The 2009 Strongman Classic saw only the third new champion crowned since it’s inception in 2002. This year the honours went to Connecticut police officer and Worlds strongest man runner up Derek Poundstone, who improved on his second placing in the 2008 Arnold Strongman event.

It was a see-saw contest with the six time Russian National Weightlifting champion, Mikhall Koklyaev and Poundstone separated by a solitary point at the end of the final event. The 2007 GASPARI NUTRITION IRON MAN NPC FIGURE COMPETITION was once again a fantastic event. 20 top class athletes took to the stage at the FitExpo for the prejudging and then in the glamorous setting of the Pasadena Civic Center for the Finals. As usual the battle was intense, with blond MONICA MARK emerging as the overall winner. There were 3 classes of competition - Short, Medium and Tall with every single round and all comparisons included in this DVD. It also includes the awards to the 3 class winners and the Peary Rader Lifetime Achievement Award which was accepted on the late Mickey Hargitay’s behalf by his wife Ellen. It was sweet success at last for Lee Priest as he took the title at this years event and achieved his first ever Iron Man Pro victory. It was a very strong field with David Henry pushing Lee every inch of the way. The DVD includes the complete posing routines of the top 15 finalists plus posing from all of the non finalists. Held in Pasadena, CA the 2007 Iron Man Pro is always the first pro show of the new season. This is the one the guys all specially prepare for. Toney Freeman came to the 2007 Iron Man Pro in incredible shape, displaying his famous X frame and conditioning. This was Toney’s second pro show win, his defined and muscular 6’2” 280-pound physique proved to be too much for the rest of the quality field. The contest saw a line up of 27 athletes give it everything at the first Pro show of the year. A highly conditioned and symmetrical Mark Dugdale achieved his highest ever placing with second. Englishman Eddie Abbew took third place. One of the big stories from the contest was the emergence of the previously unknown Silvio Samuel. This Nigerian born pro had the fans and the media talking with his incredible thickness and dry conditioning. Samuel placed a strong fourth. This annual Californian Pro event was held, along with the LA FITNESS EXPO, in the Los Angeles Convention Center on January 24th. The show opened with Lonnie Tepers tribute to the winners of the Iron Man contests over the past 19 years as a prelude to this the 20th year of the event. The past winners who were present were then presented on stage such as Shawn Ray, Chris Cormier, Flex Wheeler, Jay Cutler, Dexter Jackson and Phil Heath. Although the photos used on the DVD cover are all classic B&W photos, the DVD is 95% FULL COLOUR footage. In this historic Olympia DVD presentation, we have gathered together our rare and mostly previously unseen Olympia segments that were shot on super 8 film in the Golden 70s.

We finally obtained the wonderful and fantastic quality 20 minute film from the 1979 Mr. Olympia. See Frank Zane in his all time best condition defeating Mike Mentzer to win the Overall 1979 Mr. Olympia crown.

These are not complete Olympias but consists of the only known footage shot on film at these famous contests. All of the 3 1979 contests are exceptional quality. Waynes 1971 Olympia footage from Paris is short but includes the 2 guest posers Sergio and Franco. In 1974 see the titanc battle between old rivals Arnold and Lou Ferrigno with Arnold coming out on top.

In 1975 in South Africa it was Arnold once again over Serge Nubret with Franco taking out the lighter class. Arnold retired after this contest.

1979 it was back in Columbus where Frank Zane took the overall title from Heavyweight Class winner Mike Mentzer. An absolute feast of posing for Zane fans.

Some of this old film footage has had the colour deteriorate with time. However the bodies we show portray priceless images of our great champions of the sport. This is a “Legends of the Olympias of the 70s” DVD.

The 27th staging of the Night of Champions in New York was this time staged under Wayne DeMilias new PDI banner. This 2006 NOC 2 Disc Set is the FIRST EVER NOC release on DVD. In fact this famous event has almost never ever had a video record made for public consumption. It was held in the Town Hall Theatre on 43rd Street where Arnold Schwarzenegger won his first ever Mr Olympia title in 1970. It was also the home of many early NOC events. As the event flyer said See the hottest, sexiest best-built men in the world The ultimate in Professional Bodybuilding Entertainment. Those words pretty well summed up the tone and the feel of the contest. The PDI’s stated aim is to put far greater emphasis on entertainment value in their events.Disc #1 is the complete amateur contest which was the Pro Qualifier with 14 top guys going for their pro cards. The top 2 in each class qualified for the NOC pro show.This disc includes an interview with Wayne DeMilia, founder of the PDI, plus a photo gallery of the guys in the Pro Qualifier. Sergio Oliva is without doubt one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. This DVD is our tribute to the life and fantastic career of Sergio Oliva, 3 time Mr Olympia and living legend of the sport. 1972 Outdoor filming: London This historic footage was shot by Wayne on Wanstead Heath, in London, 2 days after the 1972 Mr Olympia where Sergio narrowly lost to Arnold in Essen, Germany. The action depicted in this sequence is said by many to be the greatest ever pumping and posing footage to be captured outdoors on film, showing a Mr Olympia title holder in top contest condition. Sergio oiled up, pumped up with dumbells then posed his heart out for the camera, delivery a virtuoso posing rendition of his Mr Olympia posing routine. This was then topped off with bodypart posing in closeup. In particular the posing of Sergio’s arms was awesome to behold, to put it mildly! Complete with the famous “Myth” arms up in the air pose. While Wayne was busy filming, famous gym owner and long time friend Wag Bennett was snapping away getting photos to record this historic film shoot for posterity.
