Which gym do you currently train at? DW Fitness, Leeds and Future Bodies, Morley
What got you started in powerlifting? Always trained weights as part of my training as a wheelchair athlete, and decided to try power lifting with the aim of 2012.
Past or present powerlifting idol(s) and why? Anthony Peddle at 46gs, can bench 170kgs, which more than any able or disabled athlete, in his class.
Where did you place in your very first competition? First in IPC Cardiff UK disabled championship 2010, 100kgs+ class.
Best powerlifting achievement? Cardiff 2010 (above)
Best achievement outside of powerlifting? Representing GB in the 1984 Paralympics
What is your motivation to train and/or compete? To be a role model for other disabled people, and to prove that you can achieve anything, if you put your heart and sole into it.

What other sport would you have pursued if you didn’t do powerlifting? I have held British titles in various sport from athletics to fishing
Where can you see yourself in 5 years time inside or outside powerlifting? At 45 years old, I hope to have a Olympic gold and world record under my belt.
What is the one piece of advice you would give to someone entering powerlifting competitively or non-competitively? Find ways to stay motivated in your training, get a training buddy or coach, to help you achieve your goals, because it won’t be easy to stay focused.
