Which gym do you currently train at? Bodyworks Featherstone.

What got you started in bodybuilding? I became friends with a gym instructor at my first gym who took me to watch my first British Final.

Past or present bodybuilding idol and why? Giovanna Rossa and my good friend and mentor Rachael Grice, both brought to the stage outstanding conditioning and feminine shape.

Where did you place in your very first competition? First place in trained figure class and overall women’s winner. NAC open British show.

 

Best bodybuilding achievement? Competing in my third show which was the Universe last year (2009) and standing on the same stage as some of the best trained figure competitors there is.

Best achievement outside of bodybuilding? Becoming a qualified assessor.

What is your motivation to train and/or compete? The challenge of pushing my body to continually change and improve my physique, long term to stay healthy, active and focused.

What other sport would you have pursued if you didn’t do bodybuilding? I did a lot of horse riding and running when I was younger, I have always been sporty.

Where can you see yourself in 5 years time inside or outside bodybuilding? I hope to stay within bodybuilding as I choose it as a lifestyle now, whether this be competing, training, or mentoring.

What is the one piece of advice you would give to someone entering bodybuilding competitively or non-competitively? Believe in yourself, stay positive and with dedication you will reach your goals.
