Which gym do you currently train at? IRONWORX in Swindon, it’s a dump but its great!!!

What got you started in bodybuilding? A combination of things really, low self esteem, no structure, being bullied at school a little, wanting to change myself and break away from the trouble that I found I was getting into mixing with the wrong crowd during my miss spent teenage years, not being very good at sports, loved he-man, marvel characters, Arnie etc. Bodybuilding just seemed a natural calling for me, I had to obey.

Past or present bodybuilding idol and why? I think it has to be Lee Priest, he is a bit nuts, non conformist, speaks his mind a bit like me, plus his physique is amazing and his arms just look phenomenal.

Where did you place in your very first competition? Nowhere lol! It was Wessex first timers 97. I was up against a few seasoned competitors whom after a long break made a comeback, I had no chance lol.

Best bodybuilding achievement? Being a well respected, well known bodybuilder. A force to be reckoned with and a genuine threat to all the top level UK bodybuilders.

Best achievement outside of bodybuilding? Meeting my lovely Josie. A perfect lifestyle together as we both love to do the same things.

What is your motivation to train and/or compete? To be better than my previous, to be the best I can be.

Place the following in order of importance:
Training:30%
Nutrition:40%
Rest:30%
What is your training philosophy?
Moderate training and or diet = moderate results, random training and or diet = random results, heavy training and good diet = strong solid results.
If someone had a gun to your head and told you to do 5 more reps or you die, you would! Revel in the pain, it’s a good thing, this is the pay zone! The more you can endure the harder, stronger better you will be.
Favourites!
Favourite body part?Seems to change from month to month
Favourite exercise?None, I hate them all with equal passion lol.
Favourite on season food?Keto fry up Sunday morning.
Favourite off season food?Pizza and Curry
Favourite film?Any epic that takes you off to another world
Favourite book?Conspiracy type books.
Favourite type of music?House, Chicago Garage, German Techno, 80s Soul, Rare-Groove, Funk, Ambient, Dub Reggae.
Favourite activity away from bodybuilding?Sleeping.
Favourite Item of clothing?Haven’t got one.
Favourite POW! training essential?Vanquish Pro 20 Knee Wraps, MAX HD Belt - great products.

What other sport would you have pursued if you didn’t do bodybuilding? Martial arts

Where can you see yourself in 5 years time inside or outside bodybuilding? We plan on opening our own beach gym somewhere hot. With a café bar, chill out area, freshly made bodybuilding food, gym fully equipped wall to wall weights, plus other great ideas.

What is the one piece of advice you would give to someone entering bodybuilding competitively or non-competitively? Nothing is by chance or a mystery, everything you do or don’t do reflects in how you look, feel and perform. Cut corners or be lazy albeit with diet and training. Failure to learn and adhere to good training and nutrition practice will be reflected in your physique and performance.

Any closing comments? Thank you Josie for being my Rock!
